My name is Stefania and I am a current MSc Physician Associate Student studying in London.
I graduated in the Summer of 2019 from Middlesex University London with a BSc in Medical Physiology Cardiovascular Science.
FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I was born and raised in Italy but moved to the UK to study, however I am Nigerian by origin. I speak Italian and English.
I am very passionate about the physician associate profession because it is a workforce that is increasing within the UK healthcare system.
The PA profession is commonly known in the US as Physician Assistants. They are health professionals that work alongside doctors in hospitals and in GP surgeries. PA' s support doctors in the diagnosis and management of patients.
They are trained to perform a number of roles including: taking medical histories, performing examinations, analysing test results, and diagnosing illnesses under the direct supervision of a doctor.
With this platform I want to create a network system for the PA Community to be able to support, encourage and share expertise of the profession.
I will be offering 1-1 consultation for potential pa applicants who wish to know more about the profession and application process to the course, how to prepare for interview and tips; work experience advice and personal statements review.
